Green Deal

The Green Deal is an European set of policies and initiatives created in 2020. It aims to make the economy more sustainable and environmentally friendly. It focuses on reducing carbon emissions, promoting renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and fostering a circular economy. The goal is to address climate change while creating jobs and promoting economic growth.

GUT

GUT is an international label created in 1990 for carpets which guarantees that the finished product contains no toxic substances. The label is managed by the European Carpet and Rug Association, an organisation that represents 85% of European carpet manufacturers. Only products that meet the GUT standards are given a GUT licence number (on the back of the carpet).
